BMW Ghost Immobiliser
The Ghost uses the CAN data bus to communicate with your vehicle. This prevents thieves from adding an additional key or replacing the ECU to bypass your security system as it requires a correct PIN code to begin the engine.
In contrast to other immobilisers, The Ghost is different from other immobilisers. Ghost doesn't use LED indications or key-fobs. Instead, it makes use of your vehicle's existing buttons to allow you to select a unique disarm sequence that only you know.
Stop & Start
If you've ever driven a new BMW or used the stop start feature, then you might have noticed that when you stop the engine the engine will continue to run for about 30 seconds after you release the brake pedal. The BMW engine management system continues to watch the vehicle for a signal that comes from the ignition key. Once it finds this, the vehicle will continue to operate. Our BMW ghost immobiliser, a new generation device, doesn't require cutting OEM wires or to add keys or alarms that are made by an aftermarket company. It is hooked up to your BMW's CAN network and is programmed with an encrypted, secure PIN code that is accessed using buttons installed in your car. This lets you enter a specific key push sequence that is not available in the usual media menus, such as volume up/down or source, cruise control or aircon on, which prevents your car from starting until it is entered. The PIN could be between 4 and 20 numbers, so it is extremely difficult for thieves to guess or break.
In addition to this we can also add a service/ valet mode to the system. This is activated when your car is being serviced to ensure that the Ghost remains hidden from the garage. You can activate this by pressing the service button five times on your infotainment unit (the system will flash in confirmation) and the Ghost will automatically arm itself when you return.

Service Mode / Valet Mode
The Ghost is the most effective immobiliser on the market. It protects your vehicle from being taken by hacking or key cloning. It works by using the factory buttons of your vehicle to create an individual sequence of pushes which only you can identify, much as the pin code security of your mobile phone. It's subtle, extremely effective and deterrence for even the most obstinate thieves!
When parked at home or in a meet and greet situation In a meet and greet situation, the Ghost can be set to service mode. This allows you to start the vehicle using your keys as normal but stops the engine from starting until the proper code is entered. This is great for customers who must hand over their cars to valet services or trusted family members and friends. This lets you take your car to the garage for repairs or repairs, or other maintenance. without having to worry that it might be altered by mechanics while you wait.
Once the service / valet mode is activated, it will stop your BMW from being driven when it is first started. This stops anyone from testing it whilst you are away. After you return, the car will be restored to normal operation and prevent it from being damaged or stolen.

Anti-Hijack
Ghost created this subtle, unobtrusive device to combat the increasing sophistication of hi-tech thieves. It's designed to stop thieves from putting in an ignition key or replacing the ECU to start your car and drive it off. Ghost is connected to your CAN network and uses buttons on your vehicle to generate an unique push-sequence which must be entered before the engine can be started.
This will activate the anti-hijack feature and once active, any attempt to start the engine will be stopped. The system will honk the horn flashing the indicators, and stop the vehicle in the event that the code cannot be found. The Anti-Hijack feature can be cancelled by entering your push sequence, or by entering service mode that allows your vehicle to temporarily start and drive without having to enter your PIN.
If you have a GPS device linked up to your BMW it could be used to disable the Anti-Hijack feature so you can still use the navigation system in your car whilst the vehicle is parked unsupervised. If you own a smartphone, you can also link it to your Ghost app to control the anti-hijack function and other functions.
The product is certified by Tassa and is recognized by the majority of insurance companies. It will decrease the chance of your pride and Joy being stolen. Remote Control
We can connect the Ghost device with your mobile app to enable remote control of keyless start and go functions. This is useful if a valet or mechanic has to start your car and you have to be somewhere else. The system will allow you to turn the vehicle on, select drive and exit service mode without needing your key fobs. You can also track your vehicle on a map in real-time on your smartphone.
The Ghost can be installed on the dashboard or in the center console. It is completely concealed and secure, and does not require any additional wiring. The device is connected to the vehicles CAN Data Network (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a unique PIN code is inserted into it. This pin code needs to be selected before the vehicle is started. This prevents thieves from bypassing the system using a cloned or replaced ECU.
If the vehicle is stolen and the Ghost will go into a service mode that disables all functions unless the PIN code is entered or you can make use of the mobile app to disable it. This feature was designed to safeguard your vehicle from high-tech thieves who employ relay boxes to steal it. This will prevent thieves from using their mobile phones to activate your sat-navs or mp3 players to track your vehicle!
Ghost can also prevent the 'Relay-style Frequency amplification'. This is the most common way a car is being stolen with a key-fob that has been copied or stolen via hacking. Ghost allows you to stop this by installing an anti-theft device in your vehicle, called Secure-A-Key. The device is installed inside the key fob of your vehicle and shuts off its battery after a few inactive minutes. This can be accomplished with most modern PKE keys.
